ABOUT

Nicole is a self taught abstract artist who paints intuitively, drawing from her formal studies in design where she gained a sound understanding of colour, balance and form. After graduating in 2008, Nicole worked as an Interior Designer for an award winning architecture firm in Adelaide for a number of years. Here she worked on both commercial and residential projects. Nicole moved to Melbourne in 2011 and decided to turn her focus to art.

Nicole’s work is influenced and inspired by nature, emotion and lived experiences. She is inspired by the essence of the places she visits, the colours of the landscape, the sound of the ocean, the charm of small towns and the allure of travelling to untouched environments.

Nicole returned to the Barossa Valley at the end of 2022 to pursue further art opportunities and is currently working and exhibiting in the region.

BEHIND THE NAME

Why Nicole Eliza? My name is Nicole Miller, but if you’ve ever searched online for my art under that name, you’ll know I share it with a famous fashion designer in the USA.

The domain name and social media handles were already taken, so to carve out an online space that’s unmistakably mine (and to make it easier for people to find me), I turned to my middle name, hence Nicole Eliza.
